What is Sculptra?

Sculptra is a new skin rejuvenation technology that helps nourish the skin from the inside, stimulates collagen for the skin, restores sagging skin to be smooth and look younger. It is a method that is currently very popular.

Sculptra is a particle of Poly-L-Lactic acid or PLLA for short, which is considered the world’s first natural collagen stimulant (The First & Original Collagen Biostimulator). It has the ability to stimulate collagen production in the skin layer, replacing collagen lost with age, helping the skin to be firm, full, elastic, and restore the skin from the deep skin structure, making the skin strong from the inside, restoring youthfulness to the skin naturally.

How does Sculptra work?

Sculptra is a substance that has the ability to stimulate collagen in the skin layer called PLLA (Poly-L-Lactic Acid), which has been certified by the US FDA as safe.

Sculptra will be mixed with Sterile water before being injected into the subcutaneous layer of the skin. In the first 2-3 days, the injected skin area will look full and plump immediately from the injected water molecules. After that, the water will be absorbed into the body. Only the crystals of PLLA remain. During this time, you will notice that wrinkles will return.

Next, Sculptra will enter the process of stimulating collagen production through the immune system by sending signals to the fibroblast cells that are responsible for creating collagen fibers to come together and increase in number, resulting in more collagen production. Research has found that Sculptra can create up to 66.5% more collagen. The skin in the injected area is therefore firmer, fuller, and the skin structure is stronger.

Over time, Sculptra will gradually break down, leaving only the collagen fibers that the body creates instead. It can help strengthen the skin structure in the long term, maintaining the lifting and skin rejuvenation results for about 2 years.

How should I take care of myself after Sculptra injections?

You should massage your face according to the Triple 5 principle 5 times a day, 5 minutes each time, for 5 consecutive days to help the medicine spread throughout the face.
Avoid wearing makeup, saunas, steaming, and refrain from applying cream to the needle marks for 24 hours.
Avoid exposure to sunlight and UV light as much as possible until the swelling and redness disappear.
If you want to do other procedures on your face, it is recommended to leave a gap of 2-4 weeks.
